Commenting on the nominees, Lewas Coach, David Drew, said, “It’s always a challenge to narrow down performances over a 12-month period, and this year has been no exception. Our cricketers strive to improve on the international stage, and with our Lewas ranked 11th in T20 cricket, our Barramundis playing in this year’s ICC T20 World Cup in the West Indies, and our U19 Garamuts winning their U19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier in September, there have been many standout performances.”

The winners will be announced at the PNG RSL Gala Dinner & Annual Cricket PNG Awards Night, which will take place on Friday 18th October at Hilton Hotel, Port Moresby.

Also to be announced on the night will be special Contribution to Cricket Award for outstanding support to the game of cricket in PNG.
